Hand Engraving

Hand engraving is the traditional use of hand powered tools to carve stunning, intricate designs, typography and signs. For many years, this was the primary method of engraving for all forms of etchings from historic hieroglyphics to 19th century pocket watches.

Even to this day, the traditional hand engraving methods are employed to create that personal touch to a special item such as a wedding ring.

While this method has been replaced by machine technology for the vast majority of commercial projects, traditional hand etchings are still used and appreciated. Nevertheless, this is slowly becoming a lost art.
